If its only a hot fix then it can be done while the severs are running but we would have to re log to get that fix updated.
Why do they always seem to take it all down and let us hang?

Of what's broken: FATEs are still taking aeons to spawn in spite of being 'adjusted'. Some longer than they used to.

I have never seen a maint end early, Only on time or after the scheduled time. Test server could help with this maint and patching...

Probably a few things. There was a FATE in Central Shroud (a collection FATE) that replaced the English names of the mobs with their Japanese text names. It might also fix the Syrcus Tower loot lockout glitch (where people can not roll Need or Greed on something when they have not received anything from ST) as well as this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t21kCv80gNM

Friends in my FC also had that bug with Amon, so that seems a very likely candidate.

Yeah I had that glitch and it was pretty creepy.

Possibly a hamster fell off his wheel or something? Although ps4 users were getting launcher errors and there was a tone of log in issues last night so that might be the case.
