    I love you :3

People don't seem to understand, that as a business, they have to do it where it impact the least people. Yes it suck, I was having fun doing PvP last night but I had to log off because of maintenance.. so... I went and did other things...life didn't end.

You can't expect SE to be doing a maintenance on NA prime time if they can do it when there is a time when there is very few people playing... it's just not going to happen would not be logical.

Would you close all the stores from 8am to 5 pm to keep them open only for the people that works overnight? You know they get screwed too.

But instead, they chose to have them the 3 hours of free time I have before work everytime.

To me it doesn't matter if it affects more people. Say they have 6 maintenances a month, some people don't get affected by that at all, and for some people that means they just lost 6 days of playing from their subscription.
if they rotated the times maybe everyone would be hit by the maintenance twice during those 6 maintenances

It's not about making "most of the people happy" its about making all of the customers happy. I'm seriously considering quitting cause of how SE handles things like this (and lots of other stuff too, SE as a company to me is a joke compared to a lot of other companies imo)
They do have different times for each of the datacenters. Japan's servers are not taken down for maintenance at the same time that the Americas/Europe's servers are. They are usually done a day-ish in advance (when it's scheduled maintenance.)

As you've been told before, interrupting service from 12-3 AM PST means that basically the whole of the east coast is sleeping and a few people are still playing past prime time in the west. It's probably the time with the least subscribers on. They didn't just Russian roulette the window. If you have the need to play those 12 or so extra hours that you are potentially missing on a monthly basis then I'd suggest you change your schedule because I don't see theirs shifting anytime soon.

    Did I mention time?

Ya know.. Every MMO ever has a static time. It works. I doubt they are going to spin the "WHAT TIME WILL PATCHES BE THIS MONTH!" wheel every month because some people don't sleep.

Sorry that isn't true at all. I was affected by yesterday's emergency maintenance. My group was a bunch of RL friends who were all able to play at once which isn't a common occurrence. We weren't able to complete all of the dungeons we wanted to because of the maintenance. But you know what? We didn't complain. Its a Japanese made and developed game.

That means Japanese maintenance times. Just like when we play a NA made and developed game, it has NA maintenance times. And As I said in my post before, if you don't like the maintenance times, play a game made and developed in your region instead. I've said that to EU players for the last decade, and I will say it to my neighbors here in the NA region for this game.

I'd be a hypocrite if I complained or agreed that SE should change up their times. I've never agreed to it in previous games I've played. I'm not going to change that stance just because it affects me directly now.

ITT: Players expect Japanese devs to come into work at midnight Japan time to have maintenance so it won't inconvenience their prime play time in North America.

What? Normal maintenance is at like midnight.
