No, it is a good change nORbDragon, it just needs some testing for pricing and for people to get used to the fact that they don't have to carry around a dozen repair materials anymore.

у тебя проблемы с использованием разных форумов, что ты их сравниваешь между собой?..
you are blind
1. patch 1.16:
Destroyed good repair system, when many crafters sneaks around "repair NPCs" for getting gil from players.When the optimal class or optimal rank for a piece of equipped gear is met, that item's condition will deteriorate at a reduced rate. If both values are met, the deterioration rate will be slowed even further.
2. one month later: "i can't find repair in Ul'dah! help me!"
3. patch 1.18:
peoples: \o/The cost of NPC repairs has been reduced.
All repair materials have been replaced with a universal item called dark matter.
some: bah! realistic repair system in ff14 was moved to crap!
4. one month later: "hey, why no one in Ul'dah can't sell *something like red landtrap leaf / formula gamma / fish glue / mahogany branches / sunrise tellin or other non-popular material* nq / +3 ?"
5. patch 1.2x:
"All craft materials have been replaced with a universal item called white matter. You can buy NQ, +1, +2 and +3."
peoples: \o/
some, who likes OLD craft system: /facepalm
as a crafter i now have to carry 100+ crafting items and 5 more slots for dark matter.
it should be both not just one or the other. (ash plank or grade 3 dark matter)
what the hell are they gonna use 300 slots for just DOM and DOW thats nutts.
if your for dark matter then you probly dont DOH anyway and if you dont DOH you probly dont DOL
I PLAY ALL CLASSES AT THE SAME TIME!
so telling "my inv space/feelers" are hurt is a cop-out
with that being said
I Dont have a problem with Dark Matter.
I just dont think it should be only Dark Matter.
People like nORbDragon are a prime example of a someone I would NOT want developing my game, just wrong at every turn.
people like me? who started playing on release for take all fun from game's features like:
- multiclass implemented like pseudo skill based system, not (!) like a popular in many mmorpg crap class system;
- finding resources for crafts like a part of game;
- craft like a part of game, not like "little bonus for game";
- craft is very realistic;
- repair was (stupid devs) nice and realistic;
- no stupid (sorry, was, not now) "binded" (untradable)/"noncrafted" items from "boxes", "dungeons", "mobs". "craft or buy from players only" was feature, not a bug.
yep, i don't need developers like you.this game will loss all features and be like clone of other crap around? kids, go back to wow! i don't see any reasons for create a new clone of "popular mmorpg for all peoples of the world"...

Well, you unlike this game earlier, as you words: ~"the game is flawed" (approx. translate). presently you unlike game, and before all was ok. I don't understand.
May be you leave us instead of continue built an "Empire". What you waiting of updates, if you want to hold on, "Puppet king" ?

2Lavie:
I think the most appropriate way to say this is that we agree to disagree nORbDragon. It's true that a lot of games these days are trying to mimic each other and FFXIV is most certainly going to do a bit of that as well. Just look at all the mainstream FPS games these days.![]()

If I could read what nORbDragon was writing, I would comment. Sadly, I can't.
Oh, and FYI, I'm talking about the English bits here.
I agree with nORbDragon. Yes, I want interactions to be easier, but not simpler. The challenge for developers is to retain depth and intricacy of the game and I think they failed here.
