Would be nice for it to come out on the xbox as well the more players the better I say. As for the PS3 version I will be picking that up when it is out.
Honestly I don't understand how anybody could be against porting XIV.
The more players the better I say. The game is improving but the players that left aren't coming back at the same rate and most will never return.
The console players are a large group that could fill the empty world of Eorzea and I personally don't care what console or controller they're using as long as I can play with them.
Graphically the game needs to be optimized anyway to work on more PCs so I don't see why that work can't be used to make console ports as well. Porting a game really isn't as massive project as these forum posts would have you believe and bigger companies use tools that automate a lot of the process. In smaller companies there's usually 1 to 3 guys working on porting the game to multiple platforms.
In the long run subscriptions could easily cover the cost of porting the game and let's remember that work would benefit all the players because it's contributing to the quality of the game for all of us.
I own all the consoles and I don't get why people are so close minded they bicker what's the best one. Honestly they all have their pros and cons. It's stupid to pay so much attention to what the ports graphics would be like. When you play an MMO the graphics are one of the least important parts of the entire experience since after a few hours you become completely blind to them and view them just as symbols to the objects within the game world.
I'm more in favor of keeping it as a PS3 exclusive for this generation, but having a FFXI-360 style port to the next generation consoles Sony and Microsoft come out with. I doubt this will work well with Wii U. It's pretty late in the console life cycle anyway, so this would be a good move to keep the game relevant, so it probably won't be coming out for PS3 in the immediate future.
