The PS3 is where this game belongs. Xbox live has far too many hurdles for se to jump through, the least of which is the subscription. Anyone who is going to be playing this on their xbox is probably already shelling out the cash for XBLgold anyhow. But did any of you play XI on the 360. Anytime you had an update, you were forced to question whether or not it'd force you to reinstall the entire game.
The 360 is simply not cross platform friendly.

It's that bad to you? Must I bring up the issue with it not going offline for 2 months? Plus xbox gets updates to the online capabilities like party chat over different games and chat period. PS3 doesn't even have that yet and that worries me. I like to chat over different games. They need to catch up.

When was the last time MS did a complete rebuild of the infrastructure of XBL? They do it in increments of whats needed to minimise impact on customers, however Sony needed to do a complete rebuild after they got hacked, which 2 months is an acceptable timeframe for a rebuild on that scale.

I dunno about that. I doubt the 3rd party torrent that seems to have fallen in love with the WiiU would be happy with minimal online service that hurt the Wii. But we'll see how it goes.

I'm getting it on the ps3 so i don't have to upgrade other pc every few years my gf would be playing on the ps3. I would not like it on the xbox due to it may limit the game more then the ps3.

Although the game wouldn't look as great on the 360 as it would on PC, it wouldn't hold back the PS3 and PC versions. Just like the PS2 version didn't hold back the PC and 360 version. I hope it gets released on the 360 because it only means more people to play with for everybody. Hell, I hope it gets released on the Wii U for this reason.

We're talking about the WiiU and from what we understand, that will be a bit more powerful than a PS3.

It has more ram and a larger gpu, but NaughtyDog has proved those are not important to make an awesome looking game on the PS3 (Uncharted 2 is like majority rendered by the cell processor using the ram and gpu as swap space only really and for rendering smaller graphic effects like water on the screen edge. )

The reason they have only used reskinned zones since WotG, reskinned mobs, work arounds for extra inventory and more is because of PS2 memory limitations, the PS2 is holding back FFXI, and the most inferior console, which would be 360 if its released on it, will start to hold FFXIV back, the time frame depends on which consoles its released on.

if it was released on the 360 it would be at 545 resolution, not 720P like the PS3 and 1080P like the PC.

While I love my xbox 360 and some of my Microsoft contacts, I don't believe FF14 would be profitable for SE or MS if released on the 360.

There are some "hurdles" that has prevented games like Borderlands, Call of Duty, Assassins Creed, and other multi platform games from playing cross platform. 360 would sooner have separate servers for FF14.

And what quality hardware are you talking about? Mine plays fine and I prefer my 360 to my PS3.
It's not always about how great the graphics are because in the case of XIV.. well I'll rest my case

Um, not it doesn't. The console hasn't even launched and already the games look as good as games look late in the PS3 and 360's life cycle. All games that come out at the beginning of a console's lifespan pale in comparison to what the console can really do.
