Its not a graphical upgrade its a limitation. XI on the xbox was terrible, no support for it really, and disc error only cureable by uninstalling/reinstalling with another xbox harddrive. That system sucks, 3 discs for FFXIII lol, guess they lost out with "hd dvd". XI was suffering from limitations due to ps2, and it wasn't graphical since PC has best graphics, and xbox is comparable to pc, it was due to space. Not everyone is going to buy the special addition star wars xbox, or xbox memory upgrades just to play XIV. for mmos which come to their system, that alone has killed some mmos going to xbox, the XBL silver thing for xi probably irks Microsoft to no end

On another note Xbox also wants to get a cut of all subscriptions that they agreed to that.

Sony and SOE/PSN are way more mmo friendly, but mmos owned by SOE suck, (NGE really!?!?)

I take it you avoided beseiged and things then, 360 was always locking up in places with a few hundred people fighting.

I regularly enjoyed besieged.

All you had to do was turn the chat to "You + Your Party"
And it seemed to limit the number of mobs people on screen, prioitising my party/alliance and the mobs we fought.

I'll admit, there were a couple of times when my xbox would crash out of besieged, alot of xbox users would.
And Ninja-WTF-just-ate-me deaths.

MZ, from the time it started, till it finished, Besieged was like russian roulette for your xbox crashing.
It seemed really random to me, I could get kicked offf at the start, 3 mins in, and then 4 mins after I get back into it, someone else coulda been knocked off.

I remember lots of us being forced off when that NM came, the evil thing. :P

FFXI melted my 5 xbox's internal components. Safe to say i ditched that crap, bought a decent PC and a PS3 for console gaming.

I will most definately get FF14 for PS3, even after building myself a £1700 PC, call me crazy, but i just like to collect game boxes for some reason.. I have about 10 copies of FFXI not including xpacs for both Xb360 and PC, all with unused reg codes lols.

Im not opposed to an xb360 port however, its upto peoples own personal choice, but considering how microsoft wanted FFXIVers to have to pay for gold access im not surprised square didnt want to take the piss out of their customers regarding online fees.

The only console war we should be fighting is to try and get it on every console ot have the maximum playerbase :P

Definately, the more people i can exploit and sell crystals/shards/gear to the better. Oh and so i can use them for grouping as well of course.

That was a problem with the xbox themselves, I had 3 RRoD on me too. That was down to the fact it was on nearly 16 hours a day, 7 days a week with FFXI, Halo 2/3, Gears and whatnot. Currently the only thing I don't own is a Wii, I can't get down with the whole dance-like-a-fool in front of your TV to play. Same reason I don't have Kinect or PS Move. Personal Preference.

When the ps3 version comes out, I'll be jumping on it right away. Same as if an xbox version does. Me and my brother both play, and it'd be nice if we could pick which platform to use. (He's more of a PC buff, I likes my xbox. :3)

Im sure as long as if FFXIV were to somehow come out on xb that as long as it doesnt cause terrible limitations or restrictions for the PC or PS3 version people wont care. Nobody can not want a decent sized population to play with.

I'm looking forward to the remakes for the 360 they've planned, as well as the first MGS.

Now now, the Wii does have some good games that don't require any arm flailing. Madworld, Fragile Dreams, Monster Hunter Tri, Sengoku Basara (if you don't have a PS3), Resident Evil Archives remakes, Metroid Prime Collection, Legend of Zelda, Mario, not to mention all the Gamecube games.
