Hi everyone,
with yesterdays update for Patch 2.35 I also released my new Hunt Tracker and would be very happy if as many people as possible use it
Currently, it is using the old respawn windows of 3h-5h after the last time of death on an A Rank. I know, there are speculations about those new, more accurate spawn times.. but at least on Hyperion with our old Spreadsheet of ToDs we did prove this new theory wrong a couple of times already (tho you never can be sure if the ToD list was being trolled or not).
Tho, no matter if the new theory is correct or not: The old windows still apply, they just might be a bit longer than they are.
To verify the new theory to be either correct or wrong, I'd love to see the tracker used by as many people as possible, since I am keeping all submitted ToDs forever and will hopefully have a lot of data to look at for analyzing.
How to use the Hunt Tracker
You can find the Hunt Tracker either via the Menu on http://ffxiv.ariyala.com (Hunt Tracker -> Server) or with a direct URL:
http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/HuntTracker/<ServerName>
Examples:
http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/HuntTracker/Coeurl
http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/HuntTracker/Siren
http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/HuntTracker/Hyperion
The tracker is not session based or anything alike, everyone can easily report a time of death with just two clicks. Once someone does, all other visitors of the Hunt Tracker will be asked "This mob died a few mins ago, is that correct?" - "Yes / Unsure / No".
If enough people answer "Yes" the ToD is verified and kept - if enough people say "No" it will be discarded and the old ToD will be displayed again.
Since you may not always know for sure if it died or not, you can also click "Unsure" to let others decide if it was correct or not - you will see the new submitted time, unless it gets discarded by a majority.
Once you submit a ToD or hit "Yes" to confirm another one - this time will be kept for you, no matter if a majority of others votes against and discard it. This way, no Troll can ruin your submitted ToDs by voting "No".
The same also applies if you vote "No" - you will keep your vote and see the previous ToD, no matter how many others do confirm the new kill.
So, make sure to only vote "Yes" or "No" if you are sure about it (as in, you just killed it yourself or you know for sure that you killed it 30min ago - so it can not have been killed again already)
Thanks a lot and happy hunting!
Ari
