    Damage algorithm?

    Playing my Maurader and just realized....I have no idea how my weaponskill damage works. At all. Does anywhere have the rates of the skills, and what does that 80% slashing on my weapon do to my weaponskills?

    My old trunksplitter still outdamages my Brutal Swing for example...why?

    I don't know, but the damage formula is actually broken: things like streight and attack don't work too much, while the level difference is the only real factor of damage increase.
    that's because they changing algorithms for damage, in 1.19

    Not true, Attack + Accuracy are currently the MOST effective stats for melee DD. STR does indeed play a role, but only in large numbers. DEX is broken in that it does not affect accuracy, but very slightly affects critical hit rating.

    Edit: You are right about things being adjusted though, so this information will change eventually. I assume with the abolition of physical levels in 1.19, but I imagine it will still need tweaks after.
