World transfer not even a possible option for me?

I'm looking into the server transfer thing, as by this point I have enough time put into my character that I don't want to start over... but for some reason it doesn't seem to be an option for me. Is it because my account is "Free trial?" (Even though I paid for the game disc, so it isn't really free...)

If you're not currently paying the monthly rate then that is likely the reason.

I never said they are. I expect to pay for the service.. but the service is not available to me.

Idk but I seem to remember paying for a transfer from Balmung to Phoenix about a week or so before my first payment, so I wonder if it's just that the server you're trying to transfer is overpopulated. If not, you could try contacting customer service and see what they can do.

World Transfer Service Guidelines

According to the Lodestone, you're in a Free Company.

The following conditions must be met before using the World Transfer Service:

You must possess an active service account for FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn.
You must be logged out of the game.
Your character cannot be enlisted in a free company, holding a free company petition, or signed to a free company petition.
Your character cannot have items for sale on the market.
Your character cannot have items entrusted to the Calamity Salvager NPC.
Your character must rehire any retainers carried over from Version 1.0.
Your character must be logged out outside of any instanced areas.
The character you wish to transfer must be at least three days old.
Your service account cannot be suspended due to a violation of Terms of Service or a hold on the account.

Oh, but also, free trial restrictions:

During the Free Trial period, you will not be able to purchase optional services.

If you're still within the 14 days of the free trial, you're still within the free trial period, so I'd say that probably is the problem with it not even showing up as an option.
