So does anyone else think the new Ixali beast quest hints at the expansion further?

I know they said we were going to the sky in the expansion, the Ixali chief mentions the sky island and going there. I think this floating continent is the one we will go to.

Well 2.X is designed to set the stage for 3.0 contents so a little look into a possible Airship design we will obtain now is a good way to introduce part of the Personal Airship and FC Airship design type we may be able to create.

However, use of Personal Airship and FC Airship in the game may be designed as a content to access new locations we can't reach on foot like sky continents and dungeons.

My money is on the opening of Ishgard as a GC for the primary content of 3.0. More points to that than a floating continent at this point however the floating island could be part of the content which promises to be as big as 2.0.
