Since square seems to be as carebear as many of their customers, i'll refrain from using the vulgarity I need to describe this Warsteed situation.

As many of you by now know, today they made it so you cannot ride a Warsteed from another GC. You can still use the other GC minions and titles however. I am aware that there is a precident with the chocobo barding here, but I personally find that stupid as well.

"Hey, feel free to keep that title you got by killing thousands of our GC members but that horse you worked your ass off for is against GC regulation. We are gonna allow you to keep your horse so long as you promise to never ever ride it....."

This is dumb and screws those of us who have been working very hard to get all three horses (or in my case as a lalafell, donkeys).

Am I the only one of this opinion?

Yes I certainly tend to agree with you. It's certainly an achievement that you'd expect people would enjoy showing off. In my opinion mounts are treated as a fun collectable in mmos and it's weird that they would add this change which restricts players.

I'd hope they revert this back but don't hold your breath.

Yep, I agree with you. They should have mentioned this change from the beginning, not randomly decide to implement this change now when several players have been grinding for the other steeds. I hope they revert the change.

Japanese has reported this issue as bug, and currently has been accepted. Have you try to report this to bug fourm for the confirmation?

They specifically stated that they are preventing you from using a horse from your other faction in the patch note so it doesn't matter if OP think they ninjaed it or not. The fact is, they screwed over people who have been collecting them without any warning prior to 2.35 launch. Also it's not a bug at all according to another person in this thread. It's SE's fault for letting the bug happened in the first place and led people into thinking that they can collect and use all these horses.

It's written in the 2.3 patch notes as known issues: An issue wherein players can ride a Grand Company warsteed mount regardless of their own Grand Company affiliation.

So this bug was fixed with the 2.35 patch, the bug report in the Japanese forum is categorized as "working as intended."
