    Action bar going inactive/targeting problem.

Ok this problem is hard to explain, but here goes. When I am in battle and I want to use the up and down arrows to scroll my ability bar, occasionally the bar will go inactive and I am all of a sudden changing target modes. I have to resort to target mode C, which for some reason has no (enemie or friendly) options.

I have a suggestion to fix the problem, give target mode C the (enemy and friendly) options and put ALL target settings including (all, enemy, friendly) in the menu, instead of the directional arrows. As I have said in other posts the directional keys should only be used in menu navigation and scrolling the ability bar. The ability bar is way to important to have other settings bound to the directional keys. I think when it comes to targeting you should just leave the arrows keys out of the equation all together, yes all four of them, ya know, up, down, left, AND right. Arrow keys = ability bar controller and menu navigator. Is this making any sense yet?

I mentioned this in my thread "Gamepads over keyboards FAIL!" It seems like you guys know there is a problem but keep coming up with the wrong fixes. I like all these fancy target mode options but they are interfering with the ability bar. Its simple just put all target settings in the menu, and leave the directional keys to the ability bar. Use Tab/Shift+Tab to scroll targets, it work just fine in FFXI.
