    Hunt troubles....

Was just curious if just our server (Midgardsormr), or plagued like others. Do other servers have issues with notorious players that find hunts and pull mob, disregarding other people looking to hunt? We have a specific bunch of players that will come upon a hunt, and pull the mob, while a bunch of other's are already there waiting for others to appear to make sure many people get a chance. We as a community come up with a predetermined pull time, and make sure everyone is aware in zone. And before that time is reached, these specific few will pull the mob early causing some not to get there in time. And when they do pull the mob, they pull it away from area it spawned in, causing people to not get as many attacks in as its constantly moving, and in many cases causes mob to reset. I've been in hunt parties where many simply give up, cause its not worth the hassle. So my question is, do other servers have this issue too?

People were doing that on Diabolos earlier today. Otherwise, things are usually pretty civil.

point of view moral can be discussed, point of view if they can or cannot do it, yes they can and nothing against the rules....I suggest that those that find the mobs do pull and end of story...otherwise, well nothing else to do then live with it.

I dont agree with it but equally is either accept and live with it or dont do hunts I choose the later, unless the hunt is under my nose and people do alreayd hit on it..

Welp, if it's causing a reset, they're probably doing it so their buddies can get there in time. If it's effecting other players and their rewards from the hunt, you can actually report players that are continually doing it.

Also, depending on how long you're waiting for, the problem might actually be that you're holding them too long. Realistically, you should allow enough time for people to get there from the teleporter (or elsewhere in the zone), and then add another 30 seconds or so. Beyond that you're just waiting for leeches.

All servers have this type of issue. There will always be someone who will pulls early, pulls when he/she gets there, pulls to get first aggro, pulls to troll, etc. Don't worry though these type of hunt troubles are slowing down as of lately. Summer just ended and school started for many. My guess is to hunt during mornings, school hours, and midnight.

As for pull time, depending on where mob is we given sufficient times, not a lot unless far far away from tele Crystal to give people time. The time I feel is sufficient. Its the people that blatantly shout ... im omw to pull early, pull when they get there and then proceed to pull away to hassle people trying to get hits or reset for their own pleasure

It couldn't have POSSIBLY been the leader of my FC, he would never do something like that (just taking a guess as to who it was)

On Moogle there is an FC (called S-C I believe) who are notorious for it. So much so infact that a lot of hunting linkshells won't allow members from that FC to join, because they don't want them to potentially gain any information that might run the experience for others. I have also seen members from that FC deliberately shout out wrong coordinates if they have found a hunt mark, to make sure no one else gets to it.

I occurred to me the other day that the "correct" way to deal with this type of behavior - assuming it really bothers you - is to do nothing. After all, one person fighting any Hunt that actually matters isn't that much of a threat, chances are they will either die or the actual attack time comes up long before the monster even takes noteworthy damage. Unfortunately, doing nothing on the scale necessary for it to be effective would require unprecedented levels of cooperation. I doubt you could actually get that many people to cooperate.
