Remove Vote Abandon! Now! ><

Just got to the final boss of Syrcus Tower, after what i admit wasnt the smoothest run, some unsociable person starts fighting and proposing Vote Abandon, and wouldnt you know it, after the 5th or 6th spam it actually goes through and the last 50 minutes of the dungeon get wasted with everyone being kicked out.

GET RID OF VOTE ABANDON, OR MAKE IT REMOVE EVERYONE WHO CLICKED "YES" AND KEEP IN EVERYONE WHO DIDNT VOTE OR WHO VOTED "NO".

This isnt the first time all my work basicly got nulified because of some troll spammed Vote Abandon till a majority (is it really? It's just 3 votes and they win) vote goes through and i have to re-queue and re-do the entire dungeon.

At the very least let us see who the chocobo dung-scooper is that keeps proposing it so we can kick him out.

correct me if im wrong, but a vote abandon can only be initiated once per wipe? if its being spammed til majority, especially by the last boss, then that is a lot of wipes.

At the rate it was popping up, someone had no difficulty just clicking and proposing it over and over till people gave in/up and accepted.

thats wrong. its not going off of the amount of times people have died. there is a certain amount of time after you try to initiate an abandone that you cant do it again, albeit an incredibly short time. if you get 2-3 people trolling the abandon, then you can do a constant vote abandon until the fight starts

and unfortunately, they cant keep you in like that. what if you are the only one who doesnt vote yes. if that happens in ST, they then have to try and fill a 24 man raid, with some parties completely gone. either way, if people dont want to be in, vote abandon is the only way to get out of the instance without the lockout

The purpose of vote abandon is to leave without penalty, so I think you should only offer that option when the majority says Yes, and then let the people who said no the option to wait for others to join. Otherwise might as well just remove the penalty, but then you will be sure to have people leaving whenever for whatever with no care.

So you are still back to players spamming the box, I think it would help to have a max number of times a single player can start a vote. Also to add a checkbox that allows you to say no to all (option may be changed by initiating your own vote abandon).

Of course, but as the OP story goes the person will just repost the vote until people get annoyed or accidentally say yes. So that is why I was trying to put the rest of the "fix" in there, since alone it would only fix part of the problem.

The sad thing is, people use Vote Abandon when someone already left. Thus, THERE IS NO PENALTY FOR LEAVING ON YOUR OWN. But no, someone is not happy until he just forces everyone out with him instead of just leaving on your own. This is not specific to ST.

Specifically to ST, people will leave whenever they want anyway. Oh, 4 other casters in my group I have to fight loot for? Drop. Got my loot for the week? Drop. Boss didn't drop what I wanted? Drop.
