About us:
Death and Taxes was originally a WoW guild formed in 2004 by a group of players whose talent and dedication attracted the attention of many more. Our guild quickly rose to the top, achieving 14 World-Firsts and over 30 US-Firsts during Classic and Burning Crusade, while at the same time maintaining an extremely productive raid environment and multiple competitive PvP teams. We have since moved on to many different games, FFXIV being one. DnT in FFXIV aims to build and maintain an environment that encourages self improvement and competition.

What do we look for in an applicant?
Attitude. We look for applicants to have a positive attitude even on the worst of nights. This is of paramount importance to us.
Skill & self improvement. We look for our applicants to be skilled at their classes but to also accept that there are (in most cases) room for improvement.
Community. Death and Taxes is a guild that has created a community in FFXIV and we look for players who are able to mesh with it and contribute to that goal.

What can you expect from us?
Structure. The leaders of DnT have been around for a long time and know what it takes to make a guild last.
Community of skilled players. We try to foster an environment that encourages learning and being the best you can be.
Organized raiding. We make sure that all our groups are in raiding shape.

Classes we are looking for (assumption made that you know encounters of coil 6-9):

WHM - Please be geared and well versed in the class. Able to solo heal if required. Good MP management, etc.
SCH - Please be geared and able to switch between DPS and healing expertly.
PLD/WAR - Please be geared and aware of how to use CDs properly and build threat.
MNK / DRG - Please be geared and able to maximize your DPS per encounter.
SMN / BLM - Please be able to play both BLM and SMN equally well.

No, sorry. I require all of my raiders / socials to be apart of DnT. DnT is not just a raiding guild, it's a community within FFXIV. Being apart of separate guilds goes against what I've made here.
