PS4 Versus PC

The only reason one would consider moving from PC to PS4 is if they played on a laptop. It's a small box with meh hardware inside. It got hyped only because it's a bit more powerful than Xbox which is not saying much.

Big letdown these consoles were this time.

lol, xbox one for the most part chokes at running games at 980p 32fps because of the hardware were as PS4 has no problem running games at full 1080 and 60 fps

Anyhow the discussion was not about consoles anyhow, myself i have never had issues running a keyboard either using a logitech wireless keyboard.
And do i get delays in the game? The odd times but know for a fact this is server not hardware issues

I play on ps4 and I can say pretty much the same thing that everyone else is saying - I love my controller setup, it makes for easy targeting and healing, but don't try to use the keyboard as a controller. The time delay is pretty noticeable when typing.
That and it misses out letters for me occasionally so I have to type really slowly to make sure it works.

Ps. As for the frame rate, I must just have a slow brain because it looks perfectly fine to me - the only time I ever have frame rate problems is with Odin/Behemoth fates because of the amount of people atracking at the same time. Even then, it's only a bit jerky.

This isnt opinion or anything but just looking at the video results, the PS4 barely maintains 60 FPS even in quiet areas, it still constantly dips, sorry but this video is evidence enough, so those that say they dont have issues or drops, well this video says otherwise, dunno how people gonna argue with physical evidence.

Thanks for posting a vid with fanboys all over it :P was not fun reading any of that 2 most ppl don't sit with a frame rate gadget when playing 3 this vid never showed a side by side of the pc vs ps4 did it? http://youtu.be/SDPbXAKxNdc this vid shows more and shows why playing on pc or ps4 works out just fine {unless you look at frame rate all day}

Dunno about you, but yes, frame rate actually is the measure if you get choppy play or slow downs, the video I linked was evidence of that, graphics will depend on settings which is personal, but frame rate is pure measure, again, how do you dispute this, the evidence is there. And you did say you dont get slow downs or that nature, the video I linked actually says otherwise and thats not opinion, thats hard numbers.

So what's your point? It's evident in your arguments that you only want to prove PC master race superiority, ignoring the fact you can play FFXIV just fine on a PS4. The few people that even notice the frame rate dips and are bothered by it, will never play it on PS4 anyway.

This game was not fully optimized for PS4 it is more so a port.
I never did say this game specifically btw, just general games because of the one remark made
Only real slow downs is hunts when half the server are there, and Odin and Behemoth fates which btw also have lag if you play on a PC

When there's a lot of players in the area MMO's are very CPU intensive. PS4 is running a low end mobile CPU so it's not surprising the frame rate drops more so than on the PC. The PS4 does have low level API to reduce some CPU overhead, however it's apparently not enough to make up a difference between a mobile CPU and a desktop CPU.

I can just hook my PC into my TV and lounge back on the couch or bed and play that way.
