    I believe that, at some point, they're attacked by a Not Relevant to the Plot event and go back to being travelling merchants and earning their livelihoods.

    They were never MEMBERS of the Scions I think, they were just merchants that did deliveries. The 3 of them were separated in the Calamity and they all made deliveries to the waking sands and they started to stick around trying to reunite.
