I had a Royal Blue and received no "new feathers" message in my feeding of 12 Berries.. then I ran out of berries. Perhaps no more blue can be added, or it becomes more difficult?

Yeah same thing happened to me so I went the red direction with apples now I'm too dark and need to lighten him up a few shades.
