so i had given up trying for morbol green based on how alinah's color chart shows to get there, since everything i tried sent me in a loop between othard blue and storm blue.

then i found this color calculator: FFXIV Chocobo Colour Calculator

i used the 8th rgb scale the 2 times i tried. doing what was suggested from othard blue to morbol green sent me back to storm blue. doing what was suggested from storm blue to morbol green sent me to void blue.

i'm out of fruit again and don't want to buy anymore so i'm sticking with this for now. maybe i'll try again once i've grown some more fruit.

fwiw, void blue is closer to morbol green from an rgb perspective, so this was a better result than getting othard or storm blue again. i'm guessing morbol green is just one of those harder colors to get.

Using the Chocobo colour calculator I finally got Cactuar green! Thankoo so much.
I had been looping Celeste > Apple > Celeste > Apple for ages, wasted so much fruit. From Apple it said to use 8 apples, 9 pears and 11 berries. I used 4 apples, 4 pears, 5 berries, 4 apples, 4 pears, 6 berries. (I forgot to use the 9th pear.) Got quite a few feather messages along the way but just fed the lot anyway. I'll post a pic later.

Well, I tried it.... and now he's kobold brown OTL Any ideas now? ^^

try two plums you may end up back at deepwood green or get lucky and get black.

If you get deepwood green then try valfruit x1 and pineapple x1. You stuck in a loop just like i was too you find the right amount to feed you wont get soot black and seeing how you can't find out. You have to try how other people got soot black from deepwood green and kobold brown to you end up in soot black like most of us did.

Remember the amoumt i'm telling you is the amount you feed not how many proc you need to get.

I'm curious, does anyone know where the RGB values for the FFXIV Chocobo Colors spreadsheet have come from?

I've just done a few tests using a colour dropper on some screen shots of the dye pallete and I'm getting different values.

eg; Woad Blue is stated as 41,50,74, but im getting it as 47,56,81. Any idea why this is?

Dye UI and a dropper.

And IME, I can tell you any single pixel dropper will be wrong. Even with direct capture of the Dye UI, the game still does some form of color shading and this is especially noticeable with the lighter colors such as the pinks and the light blue/greens. Just zoom up to 500%+ and see for yourself.

I wanted the chocobo from Dalamud red, into a nice ink blue. According to the ffxivchocobo, i needed "1 × Plums, 8 × Pears, 9 × Berries",
And it turned Regal Purple, imagine the shock i had D:

So now i'm trying to get it back to another colour.

It's very weird to me, Purple uses none of those fruits as i checked in the site.

I still don't understand something. If I'm at color A and let's say I wanna get to color D, can I get there in a single feeding, or do I have to wait for each "feathers" message"?

In other words, Can I skip steps or do I have to feed till one message, wait, feed till 2nd message, wait, etc?

I've heard food fed after the first feathers message is a waste, but I also heard it will count. As in you can go from yellow to white/black in a single 6 hour feeding.

Well for mine I was told to use 8 apples, 9 pears and 11 berries. I used 4 apples, 4 pears, 5 berries, 4 apples, 4 pears and finally 6 berries in one feeding. (I missed a pear.) I paid no attention to the feathers message until the last few fruits. I did notice it alot though after the 5th fruit. Every fruit you feed will alter the RGB values, even if it doesn't give the message, the feathers message is just confirmation that you have gone into another colour from your current.
