what?? you can dye chocobos?

Can't help it but..."dying" has a completely different meaning from "dyeing"
Personally I prefer them Kentucky fried.
Just wanted to post pictures of my Chocobo, I'm happy with him, I don't think I'll change him! He is Orthard Blue color.

Fed my bird 11 apples to get Millioncorn Yellow. Now he's a brighter yellow.
LOUISOIX DIED SO YOU COULD PLAY 2.O
Great, I thought the theory was to lighten in order to get black?

Okay, just woke up.
From millicorn yellow, feeding 6 momook pears gave me Couerl Yellow (192, 129, 3).
Going to feed some more pears till it gives feather message. As this seems like a good route to Soot Black (37, 35, 30)
Gottaa bring that red down a whole lot more, then ill gradually add and take away to get the green and blue numbers ^^
So, it took 8 pears to get the message to pop..... now we wait.

"You cannot simultaneously prevent and prepare for war."

So I was reading up on every ones ideas on how this chocobo color change works and decided to tinker with it myself. I have been trying to apply the math to others found colors and what they are reporting they used. From what I am figuring out seems pretty close, but I am sure I am missing / overlooking a variable or two. I have been using Paints custom colors to try the figures out in and the colors come very close to matching.
Red = 255 / 85 = 3
Green = 255 / 85 = 3
Blue = 255/ 85 = 3
So 3 Fruit = 255 of one color
2 Fruit = 170
1 Fruit = 85
So you have Lighten fruit which would mean -85 and darken fruit which would mean + 85
That being said if you where to use a (lightens blue = -85 blue) on your desert yellow chocobo you would get a honey yellow chocobo.
Honey Yellow = Red 255 Green 255 Blue 0.
If you where to use a (lightens red = -85 red) you would get a shade of green.
Anyway I need more feedback to prove or disprove my theory. [Please assist.]

Seems like the amount of snacks needed isn't set in stone. I fed my Chocobo 28 Doman plums, hoping to get Celeste Green like someone reported, and got Sky Blue instead.
I'll add a few Mamook Pears and hopefully that will make it Celeste Green.
Edit: I fed my Chocobo 8 more Doman Plums and 10 Mamook Pears, and didn't get the 'Feathers have started to change colour' even once. Any ideas before I waste more snacks?
