that ended up giving me grape purple which is about 20 away in reds and blues and very close to the green value for soot black. what do you think i should feed it next?Alright! Let's take look at the current colors:
Original: Storm Blue
30R 58G 107B
Current: Royal Blue
34R 42G 96B
Desired: Soot Black
37R 35G 30B
You're on the right path, and now need to continue reducing BLUEs. You want the RED to change as little as possible in the process. Try this for your next feed:
x5 Mamook Pear
x5 Xelphatol Apple
Whileyour REDs and GREENs should stay relatively even, it will again drastically reduce your BLUEs (which is the goal as you move toward Soot Black).

Alright, here's where it gets very tricky and will possible require some tweaking.
Current: Grape Purple
52R 26G 34B
Desired: Soot Black
37R 35G 30B
I would personally try:
x2 Mamook Pear
x1 O'Ghomoro Berry
Going off an average that the fruits will give +/-5 (which all I've used in all my past posts for ease of calculations) you should end up around 37R 31G 29B, give or take a few points.
If you don't receive "plumage color change" message, then we need to analyze were you might be in the dyes "color range".
Good luck!

Here is what I am going to do for mine:You're right, I don't know the current values, which is why it gets harder to do minor changes in color variance when people are so close to their desired color.
I mainly go off the assumption that to reach certain colors you need to fall in a "color range" (I.e. 30-40R, 30-40G, 25-35B for Soot Black), and then (as you read above) I reduce what I believe are some RNG by offering a flat integer as an "average".
I try to preface every post saying that I am not 100% and this is only my assumptions based on correlating everyone's past data, as well as trials of my own.
The influencing factor being the range between 3 to 6 and can be adjusted accordingly.
The top row of matrices is a total of the previously performed feeds.
The bottom row of matrices is the steps needed to get to the desired one.
I can adjust the number of Darkening and Lightening feeds in the bottom row of matrices until I get a "Total Adjustment" that closely matches the difference of the "Desired Colour" - "Current Colour".
I would like to tweak it so it can do this automatically but too busy lately to really look into something like that. Plus, it would probably be overkill XD
EDIT:
Realising I forgot to change the current colour on the bottom row to the new colour from the top so it will adjust the feeding to the following:
EDIT: I am after reaching my daily post limit. Thanks SE! Getting into a good discussion here.
Awesome, hope I am getting the hang of this now. Replying here because, well...daily limit >.>
I am putting all of my information into a single thread which I can't even bump now even though I added that huge chunk to Feed 4 over here.
Using this method here is what I got for lavendar:Could anyone help me out here? Looking to get to either Gloom Purple or Lavender Purple. Right now I have a bunch of Berries(68) Apples(48) and Valfruit(36) to work with. I also have 1 Han Lemon so I can start from Scratch.
Anyone know what my best bet to hit Gloom/Lavender Purple would be?
Wha you need to concern yourself with is the very bottom left. While I didn't divide in the nubmer of foods you can simplify it down to:
4 Red lightening
12 Blue Darkening fruits.
Hoping this works if you decide to go with it.

Definite kudos. Downright awesome.

That's pretty much everything I was doing to try to offer advice others in the thread.
