Finally got my black beauty after 2weeks!

Gratz on your achievement! So question everyone, once you get the new feathers message...if you keep feeding it will it continue to influence the change of new feathers or is it best to just stop n wait after the new feathers message? Used the calculator and fed it the fruit it said I should and got new feathers after jsut 2 pears and kept feeeding it. After the 6 hours I came and checked on it only to have it land on Royal Blue once AGAIN!!! :/ Fed it Val Fruit and several berries and didn't get a any message about new feathers.

At this point I'll just settle for Abyssal Blue or if anyone knows how they can push for Grape Purple from Royal Blue that'd be appreciated.

If you didnt get any new feathers messages towards the end, you were having an unlucky RNG streak and probably needed to keep going, 1-2 more fruit would have probably pushed you into the correct colour range. But it's a case of human calculation at that point, not sure what colour you were coming from originally, but suppose it doesn't matter now.

Need to know specifically what you have fed after it changed to Royal Blue so we know where your RGB values are at. Then we can help you get Grape Purple.

I'm not 100% about the numbers but I'm pretty sure I ended up feeding it 4 berries and 2 val fruit

SOOOOOT BLAAACK! omg finally TT TT I was following the chart as best I could, but was still getting stuck in loops and all over the place. Just found the calculator yesterday and it took 2 feeds to get black. (this is after feeding my chocobo 3 times a day since the day after the mini patch. And aiming for soot black since the beginning o.o Anywho, woo!

Hey, my partner needs some help guys. She is trying to get her Chocobo to Royal Blue and has been following the chart made by Excelcius. She had been giving it berries and managed to get it to Lavender Purple. However, this morning instead of turning Raptor Blue like she expected it has turned Plum Purple. Any ideas how this might have happened? And any ideas about how to get back on track to Royal Blue from here? Thanks in advance.

I'm having NO luck using this calculator, on either scale. I've been trying for several days now to get Shadow Blue using this calculator. After many attempts, my Chocobo was Abyssal Blue (finally in the blue range), and then I apparently overshot it into Grape Purple. I'm trying one last time with the results it gave me. I however, only got one "growing new feathers" message. Either my RNG is giving me really high results, or somethings off.

Anyone else having this problem too with this calculator??

Although, I can confirm that 15 Berries will give you Lavender Blue, and a couple Pineapples will give you Goobbue Grey.

Well, you can always do the manual math and then check it in comparison to the calculator RGB scales; you may (or may not) get a more precise fruit feed recommendation by doing the manual math.

When I recommend a feed I usually do it based on having worked out the manual math (using +/-5 and "Original" RGB). From what I've seen the calculator usually comes in very close to what I would recommend from doing the manual math. Comparing both RGB scales in most dyes also usually only differs by small variations of fruit.

Did you break up your feeds (a.k.a Micro Feed) like the calculator hints at?

Yeah. I broke it up. I guess I just keep overshooting it based on RNG.

I put it as it said

I wanted Lotus Pink and the only way I read was someone stopping by on Snow White, so I fed mine the exact same as what you did. You got Lotus Pink, I got Bone White. It was supposed to be Snow White. This RNG is infuriating.
