What you think i should feed? i'm also in ink blue trying to get soot black?

Also ive been at pretty much every color imaginable in the dark values and iv pushed out of the dark colors to "Try Again" about 5 times now and when i "Aim for Soot Black" all i do is land at Ink Blue Or Deepwood green again after folloing advice on this.

This is getting rediculous im not going to push myself out of the dark colors AGAIN and waste mor fruit just to miss the value result again.
I want to land soot black and im following all the direct logic that i can from these threads. doing Exact methods people used to achieve it and going way past my result or getting stuck in a loop.

This is effecting me in a negative way... Why did they have to make this system like this? canit it just have exact value changes so people can achieve the color they want without spending 100 thousands of gil on Fruit?

Feed 1: 6 Apples = Millioncorn Yellow
Feed 2: 10 Apples = Pumpkin Orange
Feed 3: 6 Berries = Sunset Orange
Feed 4: 6 Berries = Blood Red

Any idea how to get from here to Mesa Red?

Can anyone advise me how to get my chocobo from olive green to dalamud red? Used the formula on the google spreadsheet (32 apples, 22 berries, 15 pears) and it wasn't even close. What would I need to feed it to get it to dalamud red?

going to post the results of Deepwoodgreen + 1 pineapple in 6 hours from now

EDIT:

Tired to feed it 3 pineapples at Deepwood green and didnt get a feather message until the Fourth pineapple. No offense or anything but thats not gonna be soot black.
So i tried a method of my own here. Im going to use the normal Valfruit at deepwood green and then back it up with an Apple to balance the red and blue value after the valfruit.

This may not result in soot black, (it may) but it will ensure i don't have Ink blue again.

Despite being very very different visually, Olive green and dalamund red are very similar in terms of R,G,B. Try about 8 apples and 3 berries. If that doesn't get you there, it will get you very close.

Okay i pulled him out. He is deepwood green im gonna try one more pineapple.

(This would be the equivilent of 2 pineapples at Ink blue. which actually seems very logical to me. so illl give this a shot.)

I'm trying to go from Royal Blue --> Midnight OR Ink Blue, but I am totally stuck, and would love any advice! I fed berries until I got to royal blue (at which point berries were capped and nothing changed from that point). I then fed apples, getting a new feather message twice; this took me to regal purple, which I was not expecting; I fed berries again to get back to royal blue. I then fed 6 pears (with 6 new feather messages), 5 apples (with 5 new feather messages), and 1 berry (with 1 new feather message), all of which took me back to regal purple. I fed one more berry to get back to royal blue, and now I'm stuck in a royal blue/regal purple loop! What should I be feeding to (hopefully!) get to Midnight Blue (Ink Blue is my ultimate goal, but I would definitely settle for Midnight Blue).

Any help would be super appreciated!

I had Midnight blue a while back before i was stuck in my horrible Ink Blue - Deepgreen loop phase.

When I had midnight blue i used 2 of every darkening fruit, (1 pear 1 apple 1 berry 1 pear 1 apple 1 berry) and then follow up with one extra Berry at the end to ensure you are deepest in the blue value (7 fruits total)

Using the other fruits to balance the R and G value will make your Blue darker, and using the extra berry at the end should ensure your blue value is prominent over the other two leading to an Ink Blue.

Remember its not 100% so it may even be soot black XD.. but thats easy to change soot black with 1 berry = ink blue almost guaranteed Good luck!... I know i need it.
