Trying to go from Colibri pink 217 149 198 to Lotus pink 254 202 244. Fed 8 Valfruit trying to get the "Feathers" message but did not get any. Then tried feeding 1 Berries. Still no message. How badly did I screw it up? Or is there any advice on my next step?

You should be feeding lighteners to increase all the colours. Try 5 each of plums, valfruits and pineapples.

If you haven't triggered any "feather's changing" messages yet you haven't managed to shift into a new dye range. If for example you gave your bird 1 more berry and it triggered your message your values (using a +/-5 integer, calculating in the fruits already fed, and the original RGB spreadsheet values) should roughly be around 247R, 99G, 248B. While the GREEN value is still really low, the RED and BLUE are in the Lotus pink range. If you trigger that message you might end up at Lotus Pink (based on how high your RED and BLUE is); however you may end up needing to do more tweaking.

I would suggest trying 1 or 2 berries to see if you can trigger your "feather's message". If you trigger it after 1 then stop and wait the 6 hours to see what the result is.

I assumed the previous fruit that didn't trigger the message wouldn't factor in and decided to try to feed 5 of each lightener then stopped when I got to valfruit realizing I probably assumed wrong and screwed it up. I can bring her out and reset if needed.. I don't like having wasted that fruit but I grew plenty.

Yeah I'm sorry, the 5 lighterners of each would probably have worked if you had not fed the valfruits initially. I totally forgot about that. I think I'll let Syrehn advise you from here on out.

It's okay, I appreciate any help I'm given. There's a lot of information about this and a lot of unknown things so it can get pretty confusing. (For me anyway) I'll bring her out and start over it's not a big deal. Thanks much One more question though, should I rotate feeding the fruit ie: plum -> pineapple -> valfruit? or just do 5 5 5.

You shouldn't have to pull your choco out. You should still be able to try Skaterger's x5 of each fruit method if you'd like. You just need to feed x1 extra pineapple (6 total including what you already fed) to counteract the x1 berry.

Edit:

You should be able to feed 5, 5, and 5 without alternating; it shouldn't matter.

From Desert Yellow: 3 Doman Plums 1 message and 3 O'Ghomoro Berries 3 messages gave me Sylph Green.
From Sylph Green: 3 Valfruit and I think 3 messages gave me Gobbiebag Brown.
From Gobbiebag Brown: 10 Valfruit and 8 messages gave me Colibri Pink.
From Colibri Pink: 9 Doman Plums and no message, then tried 1 O'Ghomoro Berry and got a message gave me Iris Purple, my goal!
