I'm confused

my chocobo was apple green, I gave him a plum, now he's celeste green

he got -5 red , +10 green , +88 blue at the rgb scale ~_~

the plum lightens red, shouldnt that mean it should give (+) red and (-) green/blue?

in the end the red became deeper and both other colors lighter o_O

To clarify:

Apple (deepens red) - increases red towards 255, decreases green and blue towards 0.
Plum (lightens red) - decreases red towards 0, increases green and blue towards 255.

Pear (deepens green) - increases green towards 255, decreases red and blue towards 0.
Valfruit (lightens green) - decreases green towards 0, increases red and blue towards 255.

Berry (deepens blue) - increases blue towards 255, decreases red and green towards 0.
Pineapple (lightens blue) - decreases blue towards 0, increases red and green towards 255.

Apple, Pear and Berry (fed at same time) - decreases all colours towards 0.
Plum, Valfruit, Pineapple (fed at same time) - increases all colours towards 255.

To clarify:

can't be true, how did so many ppl get from desert yellow to snow white by just feeding 7 or 8 plums?
desert yellow: 216 175 80
snow white: 226 221 205

i don't have to speculate about it, neither do have to do big math on rgb values or what ever. i just pick the color most of the ppl wanted early on: snow white. then i take into account the serious reports where ppl say somth about fruits fed, messages got, maybe stable condition:

a) there are a few reports, where they did multiple sessions (like 2-4), just feeding plums and got variations of cream yellow, bone white or sylph green before they end up with snow white.
b) then there are reports, where they did it in 1 single session, straight from desert yellow to snow white, by 7 plums (like mentioned above).
c) i just ignore the reports, where they fed multiple type of fruits to get to snow white (just keep it simple )

now pls, try to prove me all your theories at this simple example of desert yellow --> snow white.

Lightening red means -red and +green + blue. Deepening red means +red and -green -blue. What you got was correct but weirdly the blue moved a lot.

It lighten the amount of red = make it less red
