on a side note, idk if this has been posted before (thread tl;dr) but i got 12 bags of Gysahl greens seeds from intercrossing between two choco fruit plants.

I got almost every red and a few purples. Can someone please try to help me get to Rolanberry red from Blood red?

That explanation I can accept but the problem is now, is it merely your assumption or a proven fact?I preface almost every post where I assist someone with a point that states that is isn't an exact science as the fruits don't give a flat "5" to increasing or decreasing color values.
I just use an integer for the ease of calculating. The values a fruit can change a color value appear to range from +/-3 to +/-6.
Some might get a light Pink, or a medium Pinkish-red using the same fruit "because RNG".
Not that I'm doubting your words but for now we have no precise value whatsoever, I remember someone got coral (I think?) with only two pineapples even tho his(her?) red was really low, which means that there definitely is some heavy RNG in this, but can we actually efficiently predict the value range or is it just another guess like my lucky predictions were?

It is less heavy RNG than you might think, but it exists none-the-less.That explanation I can accept but the problem is now, is it merely your assumption or a proven fact?

I have personally and meticulously gone over many reported feeding results where the reported starting plumage was the default Desert Yellow, and only feed X amount of one type of fruit, to arrive at the estimated value ranges I use in my color value calculations.
I navigate my way around the plumage (RGB) color pallet using math, but it gets exceptionally harder to land on a specific color when the person is one or two shades away.

Seems like a lot of work :/
why the hell do they have to bring RNG in every single bit of content? as if pin pointing the number of fruits you need to feed wasn't enough >_>
(Anyway, that's another debate)
If there is that kind if RNG it's funny how I predicted so well the results I'd get considering I've always had quite a bad luck for everything IRL, yet this game makes it the other way around here xD

To add to this, I got Sky Blue by doing this process until Lavender blue, then using Plums until one new feather message. That said, I got 2 feather messages from Berries after getting Shale Brown but still ended up at Goobbue Grey, so unfortunately it seems that it's not so simpleIn theory if the change is steady someone could test whether it's amount of fruits or new feathers messages by seeing what happens if they feed O'ghomoro Berries and get the message 6 times? At least if I'm understanding things correctly.Code:Amount fed | Color | (RRR, GGG, BBB) ------------------------------------------------------------------ Starting Color | Desert Yellow | (216, 175, 80) +3 O'ghomoro Berries, 3 total | Cork Brown | (197, 139, 79) +1 O'ghomoro Berries, 4 total | Ul Brown | (178, 157, 105) +3 O'ghomoro Berries, 7 total | Gobbiebag Brown | (180, 158, 130) +2 O'ghomoro Berries, 9 total | Shale Brown | (140, 122, 101) +2 O'ghomoro Berries, 11 total | Goobbue Grey | (130, 128, 125) +3 O'ghomoro Berries, 14 total | Lavender Blue | (128, 120, 169)

Quite possibly because Square-Enix is maniacal, or maybe because I'm masochistic, or a little bit of both![]()
Rolanberry Red should be about two steps from Blood Red using Berries.
I can't say how many you'll need. However, I'm fairly certain using berries will produce this:
Blood Red > Dalamud Red > Rolanberry Red.
If you do it in two 6hr sessions (one session of berries until you get "new feathers", stop, another sessions of berries until "new feathers", stop), you should hit it with a very good chance. But if you don't, let us know what you get!

Huh.. That's weird how the green went up and then down even tho there's only been one kind fruit used here
Yeah, after I saw how my friends were struggling to get the color they wanted I went back from white and settled on ice blue, so far it's my favorite and don't think I'll experiment more than this already lost tons of money on this xDTo add to this, I got Sky Blue by doing this process until Lavender blue, then using Plums until one new feather message.
