Almost 7 hours ago I fed my chocobo a xelphatol apple (deepen red) and there was absolutely no change to this point. Maybe you have to feed several of the food at a time?

That means it's RGB light based, so it's red value is already at max, you will have to lighten green to have a red chocobo.

I want an ink blue chocobo. I had assumed "deepen" meant to decrease the colour values. So in order to get ink blue you had to decrease red and green to 0.

i think you'll need to lighten red then, but we are still trying to figure out, if after feeding a red deepen you have no result i assume you'll have to lighten it to reduce red value.

No need for this. The name of the color of the chocobo should change in the appearance menu.

Starting color is "Desert Yellow", so any change whatever so ever should produce a new dye name.

I can assure you there is absolutely 0 difference and the colour in the profile is still "Desert Yellow".

I can confirm that my chocobo also had no change after 1 apple feeding. I'm doing one more just to make sure the changes aren't crazy minimal. Getting 36 from 1 yield has me worried that it will take many feedings to get any sort of change.

I tried feeding it a "deepen blue" fruit. This time I got a "your chocobo's plumage will change in 6 hours" message. I do not believe I received that message before maintenance with the apple.

Damn if this true that means our Chocobo starts off at both red and green are at max (255) and blue is at 0.

I want a purple chocobo that means I have to do the following: Green 0, Red 102 and Blue 153.
