so you started with desert yellow and gave him: plum, plum, plum (feather message), wait 6h, plum, plum, plum, plum, plum, plum, plum, plum, plum (feather message), wait 6h

and got white?

Yeah! Except I made a mistake, the first feed was 5 not 3, but I think it's just a random chance to get the message and the amount doesn't matter.

Another Snow White.

I have a Snow White as well! I pretty much did what mero-ix did! From default, I fed my chocobo 4 Doman Plums (that was what it took to get the new feathers growing message), waited for 6 hours and saw the wonderful Slyphic Green. Then I fed my chocobo 8 more Doman Plums this morning and ta-da! Snow White. Easiest color to get by far.



So 4 Doman Plums, then 8 Doman Plums.

So i just went from the standard yellow and after 1 feeding of 23 berries, 11 pears and 9 apples i got Charcoal Grey. Any idea on what feed and how many id need to get Black or perhaps Ink Blue?

Ink Blue.

I basically winged it using 36 apples, 36 pears, 36 berries over 3 feedings. I would go apple, pear, apple, pear, apple, pear, then some berries until I got a couple feather change messages and repeat this until I would use a 3rd for each feeding.

I went through 3 different shades of darkening brown and finally used 3 berries and 1 pear on my 4th feeding to get to Ink Blue.

Interesting, so at the deepest green, a green lightener made it black. Trying out a pineapple on my ink blue bird now.

Pineapple on Ink Blue turned it in to Kobold Brown. I think that's getting close I black though. I fed it one pear and hoping I end up with Soot Black, if not Deepwood Green and do the 1 Valfruit as confirmed earlier.

I fed my chocobo 12 pears, 10 berries, 5 plums I got apple green, all in one feed.

So my chocobo was Snow White, and wanting Ice Blue, I fed it berries to the first new feathers message...and got Lotus Pink. Is it just me, or should +blue not turn white into pink!?

Alright so now my chocobo is shale brown >.> not much better than coral pink lol.. any advice as to where i should go from here to get him to grape purple?

1st setting:

1 Deep Green.

2nd setting:

9 Deep Green

3rd setting:

10 Deep Blue

I got the feathers changing message on everyone feed from the 2nd and 3rd settings. I also fed them all straight in a row, directly as the new 6hr window opened.





2nd setting he turned Honey Yellow.
3rd setting he turned Meadow Green. ^___^

Now to try and get a Turquoise i'm going to use 5 Deep Blue. But first, i'm going to go to the Ancient Forest and get Slash-All Materia before Disc 3. :D


UPDATE: Woke up to Turquoise this morning ^____^

4th setting: 5 Deep Blue

I suppose my calculations were correct and the RNG gods blessed me. Also, I got the feather message on the 2nd-5th berries, but not on the first berry this setting.





I did get my Slash-All Materia and plan on using it like Zelda in a new grass field :D
