Chocobo dyeing R&D Thread - Post your results here!

So I've been toying around with some people's theories on chocobo dyeing and I fully support the:

Apple +R -G -B
Pear -R +G -B
Berries -R -G +B

Plum -R +G +B
Valfruit +R -G +B
Pineapple +R +G -B

I've also realized one VERY important detail while dyeing my own chocobo. I think whatever color you give them FIRST directly impacts what color they change to the most.

Another post I read mentioned something about Primary and Secondary colors and I think that's a whole lot of true.

I fed my chocobo 1 berry > 1 apple and 4 pears from Plum Purple, had NO messages and he did not change color this morning. I then fed him the EXACT same fruit this morning in a different order: 4 pear > 1 berry > 1 apple and got feather changing messages EACH time I fed him.

This is all just my observations of course!

I was attempting to get "Slate Grey" from that google document that was floating around, and ended up with plum purple.

Any suggestions on what I should feed to try to get back to the original color I was aiming for? Or perhaps or any other grey color? Or black? Or ink blue? Anything except plum purple.

Try feeding Pears. Purple means you're low on green. If you're going for Grey I would think you'd need a balance of color levels.

Update on my plum purple predicament: 5 pears from plum purple got me to ceruleum blue.

Royal Blue to Rolanberry Red. Fed him 7 apples all at once and he changed in 6hrs.

Testing the theory of "new feather" confirmations. a fellow FC member is attempting to get Lavender purple using the list I previously listed.
Our goal is to gain 4 valfruit, and 10 berry confirmations, to match my feedings from earlier.
Assuming this works, we will have a confirmed formula to get lavender blue from desert yellow.
Howver part of me feels as though we are wasting berries. Perhaps only 8 confirmations would be enough to obtain lavender?

I fed 5 berries, 5 fruit, 5 plum in that order in one sitting to get the Ash Gray color. I got Gobbiebag brown.


I fed 5 more berries and got Iris purple
