I'm feeding Bucephalus (royal blue... again) 1 apple now to see what happens, will post again in 6hrs.

Just to add to this, if you use Pineapples while your Chocobo is Othard Blue, one or 2 more pineapple (or specially, one "new feathers" message) will bring you to Raptor Blue.

Thanks for the info! I was thinking that was the case people in mumble have been thinking i was insane for the past 40 or so hours, I'm glad that my hypothesis seems to have validity.

I fed mine one single Mamook Pear yesterday, only got the message that the color will change in 6h, 2 hours later i fed another 5 Mamook Pears, i didn't pay attention to the Chatlog. I went to bed, woke up, my Chocobo is still Yellow. T_T

Gave mine 7 pears (two messages) and only got cream yellow. Then I added 2 Valfruits and another pear (2 messages). Later then Niqote told me that Valfruit counters the pears so I gave him all the pears I had left which only ended in a honey yellow ;_;

If it doesn't say it will change feathers then you haven't fed it enough for a change to take place.

Starting from scratch, 10 Mamook pears gave me the "new plumes" messages. 6 hours later it was Lime Green.

This may be redundant. But I'm currently just using O'Ghomoro Berries. I've been only adding food until a new feathers message appears.

Desert Yellow (starting) +4 OB > Cork Brown
Cork Brown +1 OB > Ul Brown
Ul Brown +3 OB > Gobbiebag Brown
Gobbiebag Brown +1 OB > ??? (currently growing)
