I stumbled across this link on tumblr, don't know if its actually guaranteed to work - with the calculator. But maybe someone wants to try and give it a go..

Does anyone know if these calculators are looking for the feather message for every fruit to count? For instance if it says use 5 pears would you need to see 5 feather messages?

It's the fruit count. However due to the way the fruits work its with a few caveats. Sometimes the message may come early, sometimes late. My path through shadow blue said it wanted two of one particular fruit. I fed it three before I got the message then gave it another for good measure and got the message again. If it says lots of fruit you're better off to take it in stages. Get one colour, then the next, the next rather then just trying to skip ahead a heap of colours.

Do it in slow steps, one or two colours at a time. It's frustrating but its less frustrating then trying to jump a huge way along the scale and ending up at some random colour your didn't intend because you accidentally maxed out one colour at some point and messed yourself up. It'll save you a lot of time, hassle and fruit down the track. You're really not that far off according to https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/18...661/vBZmlD.png

If you're on Celeste Green take it back to Apple Green. From there it's only 2 pears, 2 apples and 4 berries to Meadow Green. From there take it to Cactuar Green. Or just ignore my hindsight and do it as I did and just ram a heap of crap down its throat trying to end up at Adamantoise Green and end up at Cactuar Green by mistake. :P

I have been trying since two days after the patch to get Lotus Pink. Never could. Tried all the charts, all the original recipes people said.. nothing got me it. I would constantly get stuck going from Ice Blue to Sylph Green, sometimes Snow White and then back to Ice Blue.

Well.. I decided to give the thing on http://www.ffxivchocobo.com/ a try before... and I got Lotus Pink on the first shot. I fed exactly what it said to get from Colibri Pink (Which I was already at) to Lotus Pink. I can't believe it worked. I fed it the fruits randomly. A few plums, then a few valfruit, then a few pineapple, then a few more plums, valfruits, pineapples, etc. I am so happy I finally got it.

So last night I also used that link to try to get Lotus Pink on my alt character, which I've also been trying weeks for. Reset her chocobo to Desert Yellow, and followed the calculator for Desert Yellow to Lotus Pink.. And boom, 6 hours later, Lotus Pink on the first shot as well. Someone in my FC used the link and finally got Snow White after being stuck in a loop for a while now. Those trying for black got really really close to black, instead of being stuck in loops forever. And after the next feed, they should probably be Soot Black finally.

Not sure about any of the others but ffxivchocobo.com is calculating how much fruit on average you would need to move into that colour space. You will need to feed all of the fruit it recommends and wait. It will sometimes land on a neighbouring colour space due to the RNG, but it's just a case of tweaking after that with a low amount of fruit. However, if it recommends a very very low amount of fruit or you're tweaking eg; 1-2 and you don't get the feather message at all, then repeat the same recipe until you do.

Just make sure that if you have a large amount of fruit to give, alternate them. Split the right amount up in your inv and feed one of each type until you run out. You can jump from one end of the scale to the other in one sitting if you stick to this method. I went from Dalamud Red to Lavender Purple this morning for testing without any issue and it was quite a large recipe.
