And my simulator worked, with no adjustment! For me at least.

Step 1 Gloom Purple (from the chart):
Berry x3 +Feathers (only 1)
Berry x1 +Feathers
Valfruit x1 +Feathers
Berry x1 +Feathers
Berry x1 +Feathers

Step 2 (without waiting, from Vorfield above) Gloom -> Wine
Apple x7 +Feathers (x7)
Pear x2 +Feathers (x2)

And it failed, miserably, Coral Pink Chocobo. I then built the simulator above, and keyed in some tests until it guessed I was at wine red:

Step 3: Simulator Fruit Count (not feathers, didnt reset it either)

berry x19
apple x5

pear x5
berry x5
apple x10
