    I just use an integer for the ease of calculating. The values a fruit can change a color value appear to range from +/-3 to +/-6.

    That explanation I can accept but the problem is now, is it merely your assumption or a proven fact?
    Not that I'm doubting your words but for now we have no precise value whatsoever, I remember someone got coral (I think?) with only two pineapples even tho his(her?) red was really low, which means that there definitely is some heavy RNG in this, but can we actually efficiently predict the value range or is it just another guess like my lucky predictions were?
