Was Coral Pink, added 2 Apples and 1 Berry. Only 1 of the Apples triggered the feather message, the Berry triggered too.
So 1 Apple + 1 Berry with feather proc = Sunset Orange.
Theorically speaking, then, adding 3+ feather proc on each (Apple and Berry) should give me Rolanberry Red?
Any suggestions?

Following the above example, it went from Sunset Orange to Blood Red.
I gave it several Berries until I got 1 feather proc.
Will update later with new color.

Result was Dalamud Red.

I've been trying to replicate this so hard. How many berries did you have to feed your chocobo to get 1 plumage proc? I fed mine 18+ and got nothing.

I only had to do around 6 before I got the feather message. But my room mate was in a similar situation as yours. She had to wait for over 15+ before it triggered.

I am doing this in reverse.. rolan to sunset and I cannot get it done. Any suggestions would be welcome. Rolanberry Red to Sunset Orange.

I am no expert at this, so it's mostly guesswork.
At Dalamud Red, I think I am 1 berry away from Rolanberry (Although I've decided to keep Dalamud Red; I like it).
So with that in mind... I think it'd have to go like this...

+3 Plum feather procs and +4 Pineapple feather procs.

I'd do it in that order if possible, too.
That would yield -3 feather procs to your Reds and -4 to your Blues.
You might need to feed it a few Plums until the first feather message comes up. I've been running into this issue, as well as others (See above).
