Can I also ask I simple question, if you don't mind. I'm in the SAME EXACT boat as you. I've been following your progress in this thread for Soot Black, as I'm also after it. I've been at Kobold Brown multiple times now, as well as Ink Blue. I'm now at Midnight Blue. My question is, I want to reach Kobold Brown again, or eventually Deepwood Green to try out something, but I need to first go backwards to hit Ink Blue -> Kobold Brown. The answer I seek is, what fruits should I give my chocobo at Midnight Blue to get back to Ink Blue?
I've started to try getting from Snow White to Soot Black. Though it's possible I'll stop at a color I REALLY like. I've been using 1 type of fruit until the "feathers" message pops up once, and then waiting. This seems to be a much more stable way to get colors, even if it takes longer. So far:
Snow White + 1 pear (message) = Sylph Green
Sylph Green + 1 berry (message) = Celeste Green
Celeste Green + 1 apple (message) = ?
I'm guessing it'll be a light to mid grey. I'll see in 5 hours.
You just need 1 more plum proc to get snow white.![]()

It would likely take about 19-20 of each darkening fruit to go from White to Soot Black range.I've started to try getting from Snow White to Soot Black. Huh, surprise!I've started to try getting from Snow White to Soot Black. I've been using 1 type of fruit until the "feathers" message pops up once, and then waiting. So far:
Snow White + 1 pear (message) = Sylph Green

Celeste Green + 1 apple (message) = Sylph Green
Okay:
Sylph Green + 1 apple (message) = ?
It took NINE apples to get the message! Eeww.

Hello everyone! Just been reading this thread non-stop trying to find out all there is to know about this expensive new feature before diving into it and breaking my bank!
So here's wut I did (e-mailed it to myself after doing it).
Val- fed 11/ 9 changes
O-Berry- fed 5/ 5 changes
Apple- fed 5/ 5 changes
(Rank 4- Stable was Good)
Was hoping to get something other then Yellow or green and was aiming for black or purple ... but afterwards I looked back at this and saw that what I did was very much close to wut people did for pink colors like Coral Pink ... and I came back a hour ago to find this.

Any color gurus here know the best route towards taking Carol Pink and turning it into either Snow White/ Ice Blue/ Iris purple or Celeste Green?

If you are at coral pink it means you are close to the max value of red in the RGB, you'll need to increase by feeding doman plum to completely remove the redness, if fed 11 but now I realized it might have been overkill since rose pink is already so close to white, since yours is coral I'd say feed at least 6 successfully, just in case, this should bring you to ice blue or a color close to it, if it's the later then feed successfully one pineapple at a time until you reach ice blue, it might take a lot of time since it's every six hours tho.
The alternative would be to completely remove the blueness by feeding 6 pineapples, which would bring you to Snow White and then feed one berry (successfully of course), that's how I went back from white to ice since I liked ice better than white.
For the rest I can't tell :/
