Do you have an image of the coeurl yellow?Yeah, i realize that, i've just been following this This document and according to the values that i'm now believing are pulled out of someone's behind, i should've landed just either shy off of Soot black or atleast near the color, but coeurl yellow? Cmon. ._.

Continuation from my previous post. Fed it only 1 more Valfruit after it turned Salmon Pink. Just changed colors into Rose Pink. So total snacks fed O'Ghomorro Berryx1, Doman Plumx2, Valfruitx5 (It could be that just the 5 Valfruits only had an effect where as the Berry and Plum had no effect)

Used Doman Plum x7, Valfruit x8. And the result was glorious!

They have the numbers backwards on that document. White's values are at the lowest end of the scale (0) and blacks values would be at the highest end of the scale. This is my own conclusion based on the wording on the fruit itself.Yeah, i realize that, i've just been following this This document and according to the values that i'm now believing are pulled out of someone's behind, i should've landed just either shy off of Soot black or atleast near the color, but coeurl yellow? Valfruit, Ciedalaes Pineapple and Doman Plum all lighten (decrease) the saturation of the color, aka subtract from the total for that color value pushing it closer to 0.
Mamook Pear, O'Ghomoro Berries, Xephatol Apple all darken (increase) the saturation of the color, pushing the value closer to whatever the cap is (255 is assumed).
The color system is RGB (light) but the way it works is like pigments in that zero saturation of all colors equals white, where 100% saturation of all colors equals black. The rules are based off red, green, blue as primary colors with the tertiary colors cyan, magenta, and yellow, which is why there is an element of confusion in the document you referenced.
Most of us grew up mixing pigments, not light. So it's a little confusing when you subtract blue from pink and get yellow :3 (as an example).

Loving all the pictures and everyone sharing their chocobo!
One minor thing... I edited the thread title to be "dyeing" since I didn't want people thinking some kind of strange plague had started affecting all of our chocobos!![]()

Good one, Bayohne! XD

This would be correct if that's all the fruits were doing. But it seems that what they actually do is lower one and raise the other two. Plums raise cyan (blue and green), valfruit raise magenta (red and blue) and pineapples raise yellow (green and red). White is still coming from raising all of the values as high as possible. They have the numbers backwards on that document. White's values are at the lowest end of the scale (0) and blacks values would be at the highest end of the scale. This is my own conclusion based on the wording on the fruit itself.

The "deepen" fruit raise one and lower the other two.

Yep, gotta get the feathers message. I fed my bird before logging off last night without getting a message. Checked it just now and nothing changed at all.
