Chocobo dyeing R&D Thread - Post your results here!

Ended up back at Dalamud last night, and now back at Rolanberry. I fed it 10 berries, (only 1 gave feather message) so assuming Dalamud to Rolanberry is 1 darken blue message.

Today I just gave it 10 berries and 4 pear, only the last 3 of each gave the message, was trying to keep it even with the green and blue message wise.
Will report back in 6 hours with what happens.

I was @ Blood Red this morning, so I tried feeding it a berry, like someone else mentioned to get to Dalamud Red, but even after 12+ berries, I got no message. I then went on to try more apples; 18+ apples and no message. I then tried 18 pears and nothing. >.> I'm so confused.

Yeah it is confusing at times. I am at rolanberry now but I want to get it a few shades lighter. Not sure what to do.

I reset my chocobo to Desert Yellow and gonna aim for Ink Blue this time.According to Bluerukus's Method,he've gone from Aldgoat Brown -> Abyssal Blue -> Midnight Blue -> Ink Blue and i'll follow that method step by step
My 1st session here : 3 O'Ghomoro Berries,no message pop yet
1 Mammook Pear,still no message pop
1 Xelphatol Apple,yet still no message pop
So at this point i decided to add 1 O'Ghomoro Berry and then message "beginning to grow new feathers" finally poped
now,i'll wait for the result and see if i can get Aldgoat Brown or not.wish me luck.

The Result i've got is ... Cork Brown ... Maybe its bacause the last fruit i fed is O'Ghomoro Berry ... should have fed Mamook Pear instead ...
Anyway i'll still stick with Blackrukus's Method.i've fed my Cork Brown with this order | 20 O'Ghomoro Berries, 10 Mamook Pears , 8 Xelphatol Apples
Message "Beginning to grow new feathers" pop at 5th berries and everytimes i fed the rest of fruits.

And result just came in an hour ago .. And this time i've got .. Regal Purple .. Never expected that .. So at this point i have 2 options
1) continue DARK BLUE PATH
OR
2) go with DARK RED PATH

And i decide to go with DARK RED PATH since Regal Purple got nice amount of red in itself i just have to darken more red to let the value of green and blue drop.Here is my method | 6 Xelphatol Apple 3 Mamook Pears 2 O'Ghomoro Berry but this time i've fed in this order instead
3 Apples - 1 Pear - 1 Apple - 1 Pear - 1 Apple - 1 Berry - 1 Berry - 1 Pear - 1 Apple
And the message "Beginning to grow new feathers" pop at last apple.
If my personal Theory is right,i should get Dalamud Red or Rolanberry Red or Wine Red
The result will come in 5 hours,For the time being if anyone with solid theory can help predict the result,i'll be appriciated.

And the message "Beginning to grow new feathers" pop at last apple.

1 Doman Plum 5 Mamook Pears 3 O'Ghomoro Berry.i've fed my bird with this excact order and the message "beginning to grow new feathers" pop at the very first fruit i fed.For the result in next 5:30 hours,even i don't get soot black but i have a feeling i'm getting closer.i won't give up now ! Hail to the Sciene ! Wish me luck.

Any way to get sure fire way of Lotus Pink? I tried 15 Plump 6 Pineapples 12 Valfruit and got Snow White, fed 4 Apples and 1 Berry and got Rose Pink. Anyone know how to get to Lotus Pink from Rose Pink? Or Lotus Pink from Desert Yellow?

Someone said they got lotus pink by adding a berry to snow white. Maybe try taking away the red to go back?
