Latest patch, making The Hunt even more unbearable

So I guess the question anyone here could pose is, how are people getting all level 110 gear in a week or two through hunts?

Your thinking of it from the perspective of a character that does not already have i100 items purchased (like me). These players, got i100 on everything the usual way, buying with Solidarity, 1 piece a week but have been stuck at i100 trying to Sands and Oils from Coil. Now hunts allow them get these items really, really fast.
