    Transferring FFXIV to another laptop

    Hello!

    Just want to ask regarding transfering my FFXIV to another laptop.

    I got my FFXIV from Steam. The reason for transferring, is I'm selling my current one to buy a new laptop.
    Will I purchase the game or just install it again?

    Same as any game on the steam service, just reinstall steam on the new laptop and then reinstall ff14 through that.

    You just copy and paste the FFXIV folder to C:\Users\Public\ and it should run fine, I've been doing that along with copying My Documents > My Games > FFXIV (Making sure that you get security privileges and that the folder is not marked read only)

    Edit: I should add my game was downloaded from steam too but I find it a lot easier to just run it without steam.
