Tetsuya Nomura was the main character designer for all 3 FFXIII titles.

(Basically if the characters' clothes have zippers and huge belt buckles everywhere, you can bet nomura designed them.)

The number thirteen is fairly significant throughout history of being 'bad,' 'evil,' or 'unlucky.' Much like the numbers three, seven, and twelve are often seen as being 'right,' 'lucky,' or 'holy.' It's just common trope-iness to pit thirteen and the bad guys together. *shrug*

In any case, what we know of the Ascians doesn't really add up to much of anything regarding Organization XIII. Black robes, roles as antagonists, and the fact that they're both being used aside, they're really both very different in their goals, motives, and methodology. Given that this is the FFXIV Lore forum and not a KH Series Lore forum, however, I won't go into too much detail.

However, unlike the origins for these events, FFXIV has absolutely zero connection to the KH games. Hence, I seriously doubt you'll see a KH crossover in FFXIV. But then, stranger things have happened...

Falen mentioned it as a possibility when KH3 comes out (somewhere in the distant future), my response that I expected a crossover event was a reply to what he said. When KH3 comes out I wouldn't be surprised at a crossover event. Likewise, I more or less expect a crossover event with FFXV when that comes out (I have faith it will. one day).

But I agree that I don't want a crossover without that. I see no reason to mix the two as they -indeed- have no real connection, and it would only lead to tons of tinfoil speculations about the two being connected in some way while they are really not.

I can't remember where i saw that but Yoshida already said that for now they dont intend to make a KH cross over because of Disney.
