Thread: SPOILERS! 2.3+ Kingdom hearts refrences?

Alright so, my fiancee asked me to post this, she is a HUGGEEE Kingdom Hearts fan:

After us finishing the current story after Ramuh and forming the Crystal Braves we see that cutscene with the Acsians in their "void" my fiancee wanted me to ask whether the acsians there are in anyway linked with Organization 13 , not sure if she counted wrong but she said there was 6 on each side plus the white acsian in the centre, also the fact that there was a huge floating door and the mention of a "key" to unleash their "One true God"

but yeah, what do you think?

nope, nada, no way.

"key's" have been mentioned in other places in the story. And every time it simply refers to something (or someone) important.

As for the ascians, this here is an interesting read on their names. That still doesn't prove any relation or lack thereoff with Organisation XIII, but I would say it is highly unlikely. I also don't see any zippers.

We might get a Lightning-similar set of special FATEs when KH3 comes out, but that's probably it and who knows how likely.

Ah yes, I expect we will. Wouldn't be to hard to tie in lore-wise either since KH is all about traveling to different worlds.
But I do expect that we ill only get to see Sora / KH original characters if this happens though.

The Ascians are actually a reference to FFXII not Kingdom Hearts - they bear the names of Scions of Light, who were, interestingly, the holy counterparts to the 'fallen' Espers. But they're just references and not actually the Scions of Light. The development team stated this a while ago.

And I sure hope a KH crossover doesn't appear in ARR - besides the licensing nightmare associated with using Disney stuff in the game that would probably make intellectual property lawyers curl up in the foetal position, KH was nothing but a spinoff series with no actual canonical connection to the FF series so it just wouldn't make any sense. It's like saying Super Smash Brothers is part of the Mario games.

Making Disney characters appear would indeed be a legal nightmare.

But I'm not sure how everything is copyrighted so maybe a character like Sora can appear. Then again maybe the KH original characters are copyrights are shared between SE and Disney, in which case we are back to the legal nightmare.

FFXI, FFXIII, and Dragonquest have no canon connection to FFXIV either, yet they still had crossover events so I don't think that is a reason not to do it. Costume crossovers happen all the time in games, and some can be pretty awesome (although others are just weird). Legal issues are probably the best reason not to do it.

Please, keep Nomura out of this. Lightning was enough Nomura. We don't need more.
