I tend to post on my personal blog more than my FFXIV one xD
Mostly reblogs though.

Here are my alternative shots. I too am guilty of posing as a Miner, but am glad I settled for my blue Armorer gear.

Armorer
This last one had my preference, but people seem to like straight up face shots more. I call them facials XD

In Eorzea, balance and gravity don't exist XD

Thanks! I know - I agree. The space I took the shot, however, I couldn't zoom the camera in (the obstacles made it go all weird). I could have used another shot, but I didn't have enough time to retake from being sick. All good though! This round was hard! xD
Some of my pictures - I think some are better pictures than I submitted, but I also felt some were lacking story.
Celebrating! Though my sun minion seemed to malfunction.
Surveying the work... At night... Makes sense!
This was the shot I was going to submit originally
And this was just a fun shot we were doing whilst waiting for weather!

Yhan, the White Viper.
Oh, no worries. I tried to make the meaning of the picture as subtle as possible. The way I set it up was intentionally set to bring about a story of Mor Dhona expanding into the limitless skies which correlates with the upcoming expansion. The two characters shown are two friends who helped with the construction, and looking at it from the area near the gate to marvel at their efforts. The shift from light to dark depicts that contrast between its bright future and the deep darkness that still persists to threaten us, yet we still face the future head on by expanding the place we call "home".
Apologies about not being able to see me. Our faces were intentionally not shown so that the focus becomes the background the two of us were looking at. The theme was about the construction efforts, so I shifted the focus there. xD

You all have some kick ass out-takes. Really like how fun all the submissions are this week. Also, I want to learn how you make all that dramatic lighting Epsil, because your shots are pure eye candy. Personally I think this round had the most difficult theme of the lot and you all did so well with it.
This round was especially frustrating for me. Trying to create a picture that looked good while also looking like I was actively helping the Domans felt almost impossible. Half those foos were on break! Mor Dhona is also full of some drop dead gorgeous scenery but I worried that it would just look like I'm mining or doing something unrelated if I got too far from the city.
So onto the train wreck that is my own outtakes:

One of my first ideas was to try and look like I was actively building something. Sangriah's version of this was a MILLION times better though. She actually looks like she's been put to work. As a fellowexquisite GLAMOROUS regaltall Elezen, I know the pain of trying to look like you fit in with the Domans and Sang's slayed that this round. Speaking of interacting with the domans...

I failed hard at it. At this point I said to myself "May as well take a ridiculous cheesecakey pic in a bikini and go out with a bang."

Lastly, I have my second favorite. Almost switched this one out up till the last minute but worried it looked more like I was just posing rather than gardening or doing anything productive.
Side note to Mimilu. Thanks for all your insight and continuous commentary. Always look forward to seeing your take on shots.
