Hi everyone ;3,



Everyone's shots are so creative this week. I think Rongi said it himself, but this was probably one of the best rounds of ENTM ever @~@. There were two though this week which were my personal favorites! Lowena's Poison Ivy is near perfect, imo, with her character looking sexy and evil with a setting and atmosphere that matches perfectly :O. The other was L'yhan's, your shot was very creative using the water to your advantage to mask your legs and the shot just makes me smile ;3.

After seeing all of these I wish I had been able to spend more time on the creative side of my shot and coming up with another idea. I ended up picking based only what I liked as opposed to what would be more recognizable ^^;. Anyhow I'd like to show some of the behind the scenes and thought process behind my shot.

My initial idea was to do Katarina with Ninja now available. I had a difficult time finding an outfit that would match her original look, so I ended up picking her Bilgewater skin. This created some problems as I wasn't able to use any of the games Tricorne yet. So I was rushing to level NIN to 44 and ended up getting it there Tuesday night leaving me only Wednesday and Thursday to take the shots /panic. It was also very jarring for me to use the Aesthetician as I had never changed my characters appearance since the start of 2.0. My hair style had never changed since 1.0 alpha as well ><.



I wanted to emulate the splash art closely as possible initially, but I ended up running into issues with the two boats available to us. The LL one had too many NPCs and the Wolves Den one had a lot of clutter on it. I ended up picking the Wolves Den one because I thought he NPCs would be too distracting and it had a little more beat up / worn down feel to it.



Initially I took placeholder shots to figure out how I wanted to frame it. Once I found the spot I wanted, I got a few friends to help set up the lightning and adding smoke to the picture using Ninja's Hide.



When we started adding in a lot of smoke it became difficult to see me in the picture.




I wanted to make sure I was clear even with the smoke, so we ended up using about 4 Sun minions to light me up @~@.



I originally wanted the weather to be foggy, but it felt very unappealing to me with all the clouds and smoke created.



So I ended up mixing the clear skies with some smoke for what I thought was a little bit more appealing ;3

I can't wait for the round this week, I'm a lot less worried about this coming shot then my cosplay one ('-'*)
