Overlord Rikkustrife may have been given SOME (Well DESERVED) slack on her picture. If I recall right she was called into the round with very little time to actually take a picture at all. A HUGE handicap compared to others. Something we wont likely see in future rounds as everyone is definitely here and either in, or out.

But for the starter round, that is a huge handicap, and if she got better marks (though in all honesty everyone's marks seemed VERY fairly distributed to me) she deserved any slack she may have received for having such a tedious task given to her with such a small amount of time to work with.

Many of us had days, if not the ENTIRE week to pick our shots, line things up, our outfits, our backgrounds, lighting. Some of us took dozens, hundreds of shots and sifted through them for hours.

Rikku had perhaps one day? If even that.

So if she got a handicap buff (Echo) then I personally feel it was well deserved.


But honestly I dont think anyone got unfairly judged. I read every single critique, and agreed with most of the commentary, and all of the marks.

Bottom line? If you dont like the marks you were given GET BETTER.

If you dont like someone else getting better marks than you? GET BETTER!

My shot was mediocre at best, it really was. It did way better than it deserved, by FAR. Am I upset I didn't have a better shot? Yes. Am I gonna sulk about other shots that I don't necessarily feel fit the theme, yet did better? No. (well maybe a little, but you'd never know who <3 and only because of jealousy lol)

If you want better scores, take this time to do better. Take the critiques to heart. Make the lighting better, fit the theme better, do what you have to do.

MY only critique is that I wish the judges critiques were out earlier than the next round's shots are due in.

We cant learn from previous round mistakes if we hear about those mistakes AFTER the next round's pictures are already due. At this point I can only hope to apply the lessons I learned from round 1, in round 3. (assuming I make it <3)
