Just a few replies during a study break!
The Youtube series would be a 5 episode Mini-Cycle. No voters, just 5 judges picking who goes home at the end of each episode.
@Tyriont, if you want it and no one else is fighting for it, take it! Haha. You can run your side how you want, but I will continue to take all pictures up front with the option to resubmit later. You'll probably see why if you do it your way, as I did in Cycle 1. ^^; As for Judges critiques, they have been posted at the end of each round. And the Judges were consistent this whole cycle except for a guest judge in the first few rounds, who then became Santherelle the past ...3 or 4 rounds.
@Whoever said don't bring in people from each race, I said my cast would be 12 people, TWELVE! You can't divide 12 by 5 lolol. It wont be an even amount. But also, shame on you for basically saying some of the people who made it dont deserve it. "Weaker pictures made it through" paraphrasing here but jeez. >_>'
@Anyone else, this is a FFXIV Screenshot Contest borrowing elements and name from America's Next Top Model as a joke. (My email is EorzeasNTMlol<---LOL after all.)
As a judge, I judge the "model" based on their background choice, their outfit choice, and overall feel of the picture. As a judge though, I also score all pictures independently, unlike you voters who choose your favorites. You can choose to vote how you want, even if that means not voting for "cute" character's like lalafels. Its your vote, use it how you want.
But just as much work goes into being cute as being a "real model.(lol)" In this round, Yunie chose a cute outfit (that she had to work to get dyeable), then found a pretty background (out off all the other waterfalls in Eorzea), and then worked for how long to get the perfect face/movement/mob location. Her end result is adorable and a strong picture. In the Elemental picture you posted, she chose a great background (out of all the other backgrounds in Eorzea) and she found a cute outfit AND a weapon that matched the theme, AND the Ice Elemental didn't just wander into her shot. She lined the camera up to have it perfectly centered above her left hand, as if its balanced in her palm.
I think both pictures are amazing, as are many other pictures she and her Lalafel brother and sister have submitted this competition.
I've agreed with every elimination so far, not counting any rounds where a model quit. Lol.
@Myself, shame on me for opening up a discussion about Cycle 3 and it turning into a negative-fest. I wont be asking for opinions ever again o.o;
