I think the bold portion is what OP was talking about? (assuming all got the same instructions).

I know after some pics were submitted Rongi added in that it was a no snow shoot.

It's the bold part there that made me change some of my votes, if the story part hadn't been included in my instructions I would have voted a little bit differently. And I never had in my instructions anything about the background having to be beautiful or serene ?

Edit: idk why it didn't bring the other quote in, I know nothing of posting on forums lol, but I'm referring to the part about telling a story xD

These are the instructions I got:

For Preliminary Round 2 you will need to find a sunny, quiet spot near one of the many rivers or Eorzea. You shouldn't be in the water, but on the banks. Weather must be sunny, so time of day must be around noon time. No waterfalls. Gear and it's color are up to you. The background/scenery you choose should be epic/beautiful/serene!

I had nothing in my instructions about a story, so I focused on the serene/pretty background by the river and trying to make my pose interesting.

Looking at it now, I could certainly make a story up about playing hide-and-seek in the shroud with my fairy or some such with the way I placed Eos, but when I emailed my pictures in I asked if it was correct in dealing with the prompt, and it was.

I feel like since they all go through the approval process with Rongi double-checking they meet the theme, I don't feel upset or anything.
