By getting rid of a elimination system you stop a lot of the hurt people being eliminated face as well as even the rounds out better. For example a sexy librarian is tricky for a LaLafell they had to work a lot harder on this and still risk a chance at loosing points where as a snow shot is perfect for them. By doing so everyone continues enjoying themselves without the stress of being eliminated. By doing this you allow a model the chance to do poorly on a bad round, however still come ahead on points by the next round (Vahn for example). No stress no hurt feelings and at the end it's still only one winner. It's like giving everyone a second or third chance like Kaelah got (and look how well that second chance turned out!) You already requested all pictures from all models so if done so you don't even have to worry about situations like Ayreon's where she can't log on anymore.
But yea. It would eliminate a huge amount of stress(for some), still keep people trying to one up each other and still leaves room for judges votes per round while letting all models enjoy the contest fully, and aim for those winning points and make shots more fair to those who might have a handicap in one round but not in another. Im not trying to tell you how to run your fabulous contest, but if I was running it, I would do this system to ensure everyone has fun(because I don't think a lot of the people eliminated from this cycle or the last enjoy it nearly as much as they could continue to enjoy.. Rather then having any bitter feelings about putting themselves out there to be told they weren't good enough by a lack of voting and criticism)
All of this is sad. so sad ; ; I bet it felt awful knowing your personal opinion on a shot got someone eliminated... If I end up the eliminatee this round I know a few friends who will feel the same as you.
I don't want to see Val quit, and though im holding my head up high, I try to keep out of forums(at least till right now) that it does hurt a little bit(actually, it really bites ;, how quickly a happy feel for doing good can change to sad about that one round you didn't stick to your gut. I just love taking pictures and sharing them with people knowing people are seeing them? It's the best feeling in the world! I agree I like a little criticism and to know what people think, those are my favorite votes... But.. Do you think Val would want to quit right now if it was just one or two comments vs one or two comments plus the realization she (like me so I understand the plight) is sitting on the end of the chopping block? Tinsley seems a bit bummed, as did Vahn last round, as did someone or someones from all rounds pre and forward. Imo, it doesn't feel good to know your shot was bad, have votes tell you your shot was bad, and a critique on top of thinking you will be eliminated.
This is why im in favor of keeping everyone in the competition till the end and tallying up the points for a final winner. Doing this pretty much almost guarantees people have fun right to the end. If you -did- like the idea were only two rounds finished and it wouldn't be hard to re add the 2 eliminated who even though missing some points have the chance to earn them back in a round more suited for them, or extra points from judges.. however you wanted to handle it. (Not only that but by posting eliminated 's picture for the round on here instead of the main forum(though I understand) takes away the likely reason the person was enjoying it so they could show off pictures they worked hard on.)
Just my two cents. <3Ciara<3
I guess it's pretty apparent I vote Yes! yes yes yes! As for murdering the inspiration behind it.. not really, you've just taken a idea, and made it into a more friendlier, FFXIVesque contest, and you already mentioned about wishing you could take "model" out of the name. (Plus lets face it, we don't get paid the big bucks those models do(And even they get upset) to deal with such critique as the show does!^^ Not sure why judges would have to loose their jobs though..
