Wow! first off I can't believe I made it into round 2!!!! /faintsslightly. I'm a lil' nervous about it now haha, but we'll see what we'll see. Also thank you judges for taking the time to share your critiques with all of us, hopefully we can nail what you all like and are looking for personally from us!!

This cycle they had us do 4 different shots, Battle (no dungeons/instances), Amphitheater, Scenic, and Close up picture (which wasn't judged), so I'm not sure what they'll ask for next cycle

this one is also lasting til at least mid/late January so you got a lot of time to prep :3

Sienna - Don't be disappointed! I'm not sure if we're allowed to pick what-if-i-could votes as participants, but this IS after the fact and I'd like to tell you that yours was one of my absolute favourites.

Thank you so much hun! I've never known the troubles of decision making until I entered this competition, I'm glad that my SS was enjoyed! Also congrats!!

And congrats, Rhaya! It can get tricky to do shots in the dark, but you've managed to snatch the S-Rank.

Overlord Rikkustrife may have been given SOME (Well DESERVED) slack on her picture. If I recall right she was called into the round with very little time to actually take a picture at all. A HUGE handicap compared to others. Something we wont likely see in future rounds as everyone is definitely here and either in, or out.

But for the starter round, that is a huge handicap, and if she got better marks (though in all honesty everyone's marks seemed VERY fairly distributed to me) she deserved any slack she may have received for having such a tedious task given to her with such a small amount of time to work with.

Many of us had days, if not the ENTIRE week to pick our shots, line things up, our outfits, our backgrounds, lighting. Some of us took dozens, hundreds of shots and sifted through them for hours.

Rikku had perhaps one day? If even that.

So if she got a handicap buff (Echo) then I personally feel it was well deserved.


But honestly I dont think anyone got unfairly judged. I read every single critique, and agreed with most of the commentary, and all of the marks.

Bottom line? If you dont like the marks you were given GET BETTER.

If you dont like someone else getting better marks than you? GET BETTER!

My shot was mediocre at best, it really was. It did way better than it deserved, by FAR. Am I upset I didn't have a better shot? Yes. Am I gonna sulk about other shots that I don't necessarily feel fit the theme, yet did better? No. (well maybe a little, but you'd never know who <3 and only because of jealousy lol)

If you want better scores, take this time to do better. Take the critiques to heart. Make the lighting better, fit the theme better, do what you have to do.

MY only critique is that I wish the judges critiques were out earlier than the next round's shots are due in.

We cant learn from previous round mistakes if we hear about those mistakes AFTER the next round's pictures are already due. At this point I can only hope to apply the lessons I learned from round 1, in round 3. (assuming I make it <3)

Your beloved host has a 22 hour drive in the morning. So you get the next round half an hour early!

I want to say one thing about it, too. Of every round I've seen in all Cycles of ENTM, this is my favourite. Every single model should be proud of what they did here.
