Unable To Add Friends Offline - Why Isn't This Fixed Yet

So we STILL can't add our friends unless they're online at the same time as us. Like, at that moment. How hard can it be to just allow us to add them and give them the pop-up confirm/decline message once they're back online? :/

I actually want the hidden Feature that was on FFXI which is the offline mode.

This way RMT can't see our names and spam us, I would really love for that to be on the game.

If you could friend offline people you could friend an alt character of yours.
And if you can do that you can mail you alt character stuff.
And if you could do that you could give your alt character gear and use it as a storage/marketboard mule that much easier
And if you could do that there would be a bigger incentive to buy the multi-character per server sub (not just things like weekly lockouts/caps)
And if you did that, SE would make more money
And if SE makes more money... I uh... hmm what was my point about why they don't want to do this?

so much like for one thread
if I see a forum post regarding a static or FC on my server I want to be able to friend/contact them without having psychic abilities to know when they are coming online.
