open world spiritbonding was the fastest and most efficient way and it still will be the fastest and most efficient way
90% of the materia sold via marketboard are generated by open world spiritbond partys

the materia prices wont change noticeable and everything will be still fine + less people with spiritbind gear during daylie runs who ruin the speed

My way is efficiency. If I need to run an expert roulette I'd use i47-49 accs and all i110 left side so I was still extremely overgeared. Same for If I run syrcus tower for my drop, or CT before that. I'd queue for T4 as a paladin to work towards the tank achievement mount with amber HQ accs and all i110 left side as well, and still be the most geared person in there. If I just wanted to do gear and needed nothing else I would do Urth's, but now that is only good for getting tier 3 materias.

That's the primary reason people are upset about it. Instead of the reasonable array of options that were available beforehand, there's now like...three for most of us. I'm not even in it for the gil, but for my eventual Novus. I can only imagine how camped all the beastmen camps are going to be in the forthcoming weeks.

I'm assuming/hoping this will only apply to battle gear. I'm not SB'ing dodore and mosshorn items for the only possible chance at crafter/gatherer tier IV. Testing will show soon enough I guess, but if that's the case, i'm done with crafting until it's fixed.

Wrong. It throws the entire materia economy on its head, again. Forget any of the other implications, like having to do 10 million worthless WP/CM speedruns as your only option besides open world. Forget farming for any worthwhile items while doing a dungeon (insert applicable category). Forget accomplishing multiple tasks at once while SB'ing. Now it's pretty much if you want to SB quickly, that's it, you won't be doing anything else.

Exactly, we can't get 80 gear for sell for seals (We crafters need seals too...), extra gil because using roulette all the time.... No, now we have to go to pointless castrum meridianum and wanderers palace... I know SE needed people to go there after all but...This is not the way to do it, castrum meridianum has its roulette, other pointless dungeons are in HM roulette too.

There's no open-world alternative for SB now, or you do it in open world, or it's not worth... (For running CM and WP you just go and take some crystals outside meanwhile)

Also, it was an alternative to farming myth while taking a bit of profit with it, without using the damn hunt. (Not everyone loves hunt so much, and I'm in that no everyone class. I rather do 10.000 dungeons, and of course, SB, than go hunting)

You'd have to do thousands to even have a good idea of the disparity is the issue with that.
